Nova Scotia – June 18, 2014 – Halifax Biomedical Inc. (HBI), a Nova Scotia based company specializing in precision assessment of spine and joint-replacement micro-instability, is pleased to announce an agreement with Signature Orthopaedics Inc. to represent its Stereo Radiography products and services in Australia and New Zealand.

“Signature Orthopedics is a quality distribution partner with deep market knowledge and extensive relationships across the orthopedic community in the Australia, New Zealand, and beyond. We are excited to have Signature Orthopedics represent our products in these regions.” said Chad Munro, CEO of Halifax Biomedical Inc

“The recent approval of Category III CPT codes from the AMA and the FDA approval of our software solution has attracted extensive international attention. We believe Australia is a solid market to add to our customer base outside of Europe and North America.“

Signature Orthopaedics President Declan Brazil echoed Mr. Munro’s comments. “We are excited to add this product to our offering. The ability to proactively identify implant loosening and the potential to assess spine instability offers tremendous advantages to physicians in diagnosing problems in these areas.”

Signature Orthopaedics and Halifax Biomedical have already been in discussions with selected institutions in Australia and New Zealand and expect to have their first installation in place by January 2015.
